Northminster Christian School

Welcome!

Are you looking for a great school for your child where you know they will be loved and safe as they begin their journey into the wonderful world of discovery?

In the heart of the Tucson desert sits a red brick building with a large steeple surrounded by trees, lush green grass and vegetation. Here, children learn and grow and are taught about God and His love...

Children's Courtyard

Northminster Christian School benefits the young minds, bodies and spirits of Tucson’s children. We offer a classic experience of art, music, social development and emotional growth, as well as math and language readiness skills, in a bright facility enriched by an atmosphere of Christian values and love.

Northminster is a state-licensed program open to children of all races, nationalities and faiths, ages 2-1/2 to second grade. The school offers low student-to-teacher ratios as each and every child is important to the staff.

Northminster Christian School features:

  • A hands-on, Christian-based curriculum
  • Caring, loving teachers and staff
  • Activity centers
  • Library "Story Hour"
  • Chapel
  • A safe, gated school and play area
  • An early care program
  • An afterschool extended-care program

Our Purpose and Philosophy

The school is a service of Northminster Presbyterian Church and is an extension of Northminster's Christian Education Program. Our goal is to nurture young children in the love of Jesus Christ and to provide each child with a positive introduction to formal education. We believe a child's first school experience is important because it lays the foundation for all future educational experiences. Therefore, we provide an encouraging atmosphere conducive to individual growth and development.

We believe that each child is a unique gift of God. Our approach involves the whole child and recognizes that each one develops at his or her own rate. We strive to provide an environment that is safe, loving, and rich in opportunities for learning and growth through age appropriate, hands-on activities.

Our Mission Statement

Northminster Christian School is committed to providing a Christ-centered educational environment where each child can learn and grow emotionally, physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually.
