Online Giving

Give OnlineChristian generosity is rooted in an understanding that all we are and have belongs to God. - Psalm 24:1

Northminster's financial stewardship emphasis is an intentional effort to encourage the biblical pattern of giving. We do this in order to promote spiritual growth and we hope that each member of our congregation will consider regular and faithful giving.

Contributions to Northminster can be made during our Sunday worship services, at the Church Office during office hours, or by mail. We are pleased to announce that secure online giving is also now available to our members and regular attenders. This service is offered through our partner service provider, Shelby Systems, as part of our suite of online tools and services, NPC Web Tools.

Online giving is a safe and easy way to support the ministries of Northminster through a one-time donation or a recurring contribution. You can give online in three easy steps:

1. REGISTER or obtain your password, and log in.

2. SPECIFY THE AMOUNT, frequency (one-time or recurring) and designation for your contribution.

3. PROVIDE contact and bank or credit card information.

If you decide to give online, you are welcome to place an offering envelope, located in the pew racks, into the offering plate as a symbol of your gift given online, and as a physical symbol of offering in worship. If desired, you may write your name and gift amount on the envelope as well, but it is not required. Your online gift is automatically credited to your giving statement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is online giving safe and secure?
Yes. You access our partner site over an HTTPS-secured connection and your data is protected by 128-bit SSL encryption. Your information is maintained on secure servers behind a hardware firewall. In addition, the partner site is tested and certified daily by McAfee as secure.

Why give online?
Online giving has several benefits. It saves time by eliminating the need to write checks. It simplifies your giving and helps you stay current, even if you're on vacation or out of town. There's no need to remember if you gave this week, and no need to distract yourself with writing a check during worship.

What types of payment can I use?
Presently VISA, Mastercard, or Discover credit cards are accepted. You may also use your debit card or an electronic draft (ACH transaction) from a checking or savings account. Northminster offers the option of credit cards as a matter of convenience only and does not encourage the use of credit cards that would lead to carrying an interest-bearing balance.

Can I specify recurring contributions?
Yes, you can choose from a variety of options, ranging from one-time gifts to weekly, biweekly, monthly or quarterly contributions.

Can I designate where my contribution goes?
Yes, you can designate your gift to go toward Ministries/Missions/Operations, the Building & Capital Fund, the Deacons, or Other Giving (where you specify the purpose). You can also divide your contribution among several categories. Additional categories or purposes may be added in the future.

How will I know that I set up my contribution correctly?
Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an e-mail verifying your gift.

Can I change the amount and/or the frequency of my contribution once I have set it up?
Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log into the NPC Web Tools system with your user name and password and make the necessary changes on the Online Giving tab.

I entered an incorrect amount online. What if I need to change a transaction that's already been processed?
Please contact our business manager, Kate Kelly, for assistance in such situations.

Will I still receive regular contribution statements from Northminster?
Yes. The church will continue to send contribution statements to your address that is on file for tax purposes. Your contribution history (for the current year plus up to the last two years) will also be available to you online for viewing or printing on the "Contribution History" tab of NPC Web Tools.
