Program & Curriculum
Our half-day, state-licensed program is open to children of all races, nationalities, and faiths. To ensure a quality program, we maintain a low child/teacher ratio for more individual attention. We encourage parent involvement both at home and in the classroom.
Our curriculum consists of a wide range of hands-on activities designed to allow children to learn as they play. Each class includes components of art, music, science, language development, math readiness, reading aloud and social skills. In addition to the basics, we include enriching and creative activities such as special guests, dramatic play, Bible stories, prayer, and outdoor play. All of our classes include library time in our Church’s beautifully equipped library.
Our class schedule is designed to meet the needs of active families while nurturing growth and development in their children.
- We offer a two-and-a-half-year-old class (Dragonflies) on Monday and Wednesday. All classes meet from 9:00am-12:00pm.
- Two options are available for our three-year-old class (Ladybugs): Monday-Wednesday-Friday, or Tuesday-Thursday. All classes meet from 9:00am-12:00pm. While the younger class consists of many traditional preschool activities, it was designed as a true “first time” school experience. The emphasis here is on developing positive self-esteem, educational enjoyment, and personal responsibility.
- We offer a flexible schedule for our four-year old class (Butterflies) in which you can choose three, four, or five days per week. All classes meet from 9:00am-12:00pm.
- Our Kindergarten (Honeybees) curriculum and learning objectives exceed the state requirements and are designed to prepare children for first grade. This is accomplished through a hands-on and age-appropriate curriculum. Our Kindergarten meets Monday through Friday, 9:00am–1:30pm M-TH and 9:00am-12:00 noon on Friday.
This is a well-rounded school experience balancing both academic and social development skills, which build a foundation for each following year through Kindergarten. Classes meeting on Wednesday also have Chapel time each week, led by our pastor or other qualified staff. For those children attending Monday through Friday, specialized attention is given with emphasis on pre-reading, reading skills and school readiness.
We also offer an exciting Enrichment program, four days a week, Monday-Thursday, 12:00–1:30pm. It is offered at a daily rate of $7.00.
The younger children will be in their own group and the 4-year-olds and Kindergartners in another. This program will continue to build and enhance skills being taught in the morning. The children will enjoy an extended time of enrichment classes such as Art, Spanish, Music, Drama, Gymnastics, etc., with the loving supervision of our staff. Children should bring a sack lunch. Families must sign up and reserve one month at a time.
