Our Purpose

Forgiven and freed by
God in Jesus Christ,
we commit ourselves:
To nurture our faith through
prayer and Bible study,
To support the mission of the
church worldwide,
To work for justice and peace and
to build an inclusive,
caring community of
women that strengthens
the Presbyterian Church
(USA) and witnesses
to the promise of
God's kingdom.

Welcome to Northminster Women's Ministries!

We are a community of women who long to know our God. We want to study His word, speak His truth, live in faith and grow in love. We desire to reach our families, neighbors, community and world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this community we:

  • encourage each other to grow in the Lord, to fellowship with other women and to actively serve God through a mission and ministry to those in need with love and prayerful hearts;
  • reach out to women who are not part of a church or are in need of a caring community, fellowship and friendship;
  • help women to feel nurtured and cared for with their spiritual needs being met;
  • influence the next generation of young women by developing meaningful relationships and
  • empower women to initiate, organize and implelment ministry and fellowship opportunities.

The women of Northminster Church have always been one of the most active and caring parts of our community. Whatever your age, family situation or time in life, you'll find a group of women ready to welcome you in for friendship, support, shared learning and study, and just plain fun together! There will be opportunities to share your God-given gifts and talents and we welcome your involvement. We hope that you will prayerfully look at the opportunities Women's Ministries offers and ask the Lord to show you where he would have you share your time and talents with this part of the body of Christ.

Our ministry is open to ALL WOMEN! We would love to have you come and join us!

"Being devoted to one another in love; giving preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, and practicing hospitality."

- Romans 12:10-13

Ways To Participate

Each of our Women’s events offers many opportunities for women of all ages to participate. You may choose to help with decorations for an event, serve on an event planning team, provide a food item to share or assist with an event setup crew. There is no effort too small to be appreciated! You can help!

Give any Coordinating Team member a call with your ideas or to let us know of your interest. Information on events and opportunities to participate will be available at the women’s table in the Rowley Courtyard on the last Sunday of the month. Drop by and see us! We would love to get to know you!

Mission Projects & Giving

Mission Projects

The Women's Association supports many local mission projects throughout the year. Some groups we have chosen to contribute to in the past include: Bethany House - Those Who Care - Youth on their Own - Giving Tree - Rise International. This year’s beneficiaries have yet to be decided. Funding for mission projects is contingent upon Craft and Bake Sale receipts. Some of the groups we contributed to in the past include:

  • Gospel Rescue Mission
  • Gospel Rescue Mission - Women and Children’s Center
  • Northminster Youth Ministries
  • Northminster Christian Preschool
  • Northminster Deacons
  • Northminster Pastoral Partners
  • Presbyterian Women (PCUSA)
  • Project Linus
  • The Giving Tree Ministries
  • Those Who Care
  • Youth On Their Own

If you are familiar with a mission organization worthy of our support, we encourage you to contact a member of the Presbyterian Women Coordinating Team. We value your input in our support of Christian mission.
