Arise Worship Service Time Change
Beginning February 7
A clear act of the Holy Spirit at work in our church is the blessing that our ARISE worship service is to Northminster!
If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend our African-style service, please do! It will feel different, but God is there and wants to bless you through this service. It will soon be easier for you to attend, because Arise is moving from their current worship time in the Sanctuary of 1:00-3:00pm to their NEW worship time of 11:00am-1:00pm in the Fellowship Hall, beginning February 7.
Why? This request comes from the Africans on the Arise leadership team who, like Americans, prefer a morning worship service time. We’re excited about the future opportunities for integration as our campus gets more of a workout during the morning.
God is doing a great thing in our midst, don’t miss out!
Men's Monday Madness
Each Monday in February, 6:00-8:00pm, Grundstrom Room
NPC pastors facilitate this 4-week series for guys, through videos featuring world-renowned apologist and teacher Ravi Zacharias. This documentary-style exploration of other faiths will help you relate to the ideas of religions such as Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism and understand what is distinctive about the Christian faith.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet new friends and engage in intellectual invigoration! Sessions will be held from 6:00-8:00pm in the Grundstrom Room each Monday in February. Dinner will be provided each week; there is an $8 suggested donation.
Let us know you’re coming! Sign up to attend using your Sunday morning Welcome Card or contact the Church Office.
Ash Wednesday Men's Breakfast
February 10, 6:30am, Fellowship Hall
Come and get it! A no-frills, hearty breakfast made for men by men! The Men's Ash Wednesday Breakfast is a meaningful tradition that dates back almost as far as Pastor Ken is old, and is a Lenten opportunity to prepare ourselves for the message of Easter. Bring your guy friends and come enjoy delicious food, an inspiring talk by Pastor John and great conversation. Suggested donation: $6.00.
Help us plan for food! Sign up by contacting the Church Office.
Ash Wednesday Worship Service
February 10, 7:00pm, Sanctuary
All are welcome as we begin the season of Lent, a six-week season of preparation for Easter, with a special opportunity to freely admit our imperfections and to be truly honest with each other and ourselves about who we are as sinners. This prepares us to receive the good news of forgiveness in Christ.
Please join us for worship, prayer and the imposition of ashes.
